Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters;
and you who have no money, come, buy and eat!
Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost.
Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labour on what does not satisfy?
Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good, and you will delight in the richest of fare.
Give ear and come to me; listen, that you may live.
Isaiah 55:1-3a
We give ear and come to God in two different services this morning. First, Ian Gardner is leading a Family Service at 9am, which is for ... um ... families! And then we have a service for all and sundry at 10.30am, in which we'll be continuing our Mark series with chapter 12. There will be no provision for youth and children at this second service. If you are willing and able to help change the room around in between the services, then please aim to come for around 9.50am.
Today is also "Giving Day" where we are hoping to be encouraged to review what we give to God, so that we can each consider whether we are giving what he is calling us to give. Perhaps, in advance of the service this morning, you could take a moment to have a quick review of what you currently give to God of your time, your talents and your treasure. There are a few sections in Mark 12 that will hopefully help us to consider what God requires of us and respond appropriately. Neither of today's services are livestreamed, so we hope to see you there.
Dave and Beckie are now away on holiday for a couple of weeks, so please pray that they have a restful and fruitful time together.
Thanks all,
Nigel
