Hello again everyone, I hope and pray that you are managing OK with the recent changes in restrictions and are not feeling too fearful. Now is a time to remember that we are perfectly loved, in a way that drives out fear (1 John 4:18). Please can I encourage you to set time aside to focus again on the unfailing love of God, which is perfectly displayed in Jesus, that we might not be those who shrink back, but those who have faith, no matter what challenges might come across our path. Today, perhaps a few days too late, my video message is a short introduction to Mark's gospel. Around 10 minutes may not seem short to you (apologies for that!) but it certainly is considering all that could be said to introduce this life-changing book. You can watch the video by cliicking here. I hope you find it helpful in setting the scene for all the delights that we will be pondering on in the coming weeks. On this upcoming Sunday, Dave will be centring our thoughts on the second chapter, so please do have a read of that beforehand. This service will not be livestreamed, so please let me offer my encouragement to you to be courageous and come along. There is no need to book in, and we are continuing to do what we can to ensure that our church building is a safe environment for you. If you want to watch our video of what that will look like in practice, then please PLEASE CLICK HERE. Following the service this coming Sunday, you are invited to another open garden, which this time is the garden of Dave and Beckie Ward. This garden, of course, ultimately belongs to DBC, so if you just come along to ensure they are looking after it properly, that is reason enough! Their garden will be open from 2-4pm, and we'd be delighted to see you there. And as if two videos werem't enough we now have a third one for you! Some of you will have seen this already, but if you haven't then please CLICK HERE to watch Ian Clarke's update on the pocket park, which is being created right next to our back garden. Finally, and rather excitingly (is that even a word?!), we have finally launched our new website, which you can access by CLICKING HERE. Many thanks for this go to Chris Newby, who has designed and created this for us free of charge. We'd love to bless him in response by sending other work his way, so if you hear of anyone who needs a talented creative designer, Chris' website is here. Thanks all, Nigel Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him. Mark 1:3b
