Hi, my name is Fraser Morrison. I am married to Tes and we have one son. I was born and brought up in Scotland to a Christian family. My dad was a deacon at our local church and then became an elder at Dornoch Cathedral in the north of Scotland where he and mum retired to, to be back with family.
I served in the RAF for nearly 30 years and was medically retired after hurting my back. Whilst in the RAF Tes and I regularly attended church both on camp and in the community when we moved off camp. When I retired, we were not sure what God had planned for us. We moved back to Norfolk and have lived in Dereham for just over 20 years. We started attending DBC just after moving back and really enjoyed the teaching we got here and we had not come across a more welcoming church in all our moves around the UK.
It was earlier this year that Ian Gardner asked me if I would like to be considered to become a deacon. It didn’t take me long to give Ian the answer yes and then of course along came lockdown and everything ground to a stop. But finally, we are slowly getting to meet one another again in church and I feel more and more each day God calling me towards taking the next step in my Christian life. I cannot wait to see what he brings to both myself and DBC in the near future.
