Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does.” Jesus in John 5:19
Hello again everyone,
So we’re into June already! And it appears we have finally caught up with the summer! I hope you are enjoying the warmer weather – it’s a great opportunity to meet with others outside. Who could you connect with today?
Today’s video message links in with our current series in Psalm 146 as it looks at some of Jesus’ words about joining in with what God is doing. You can watch the video by CLICKING HERE.
The Eastern Baptist Association Prayer Focus this week is on Baptist Chaplains who minister within the area’s hospitals. We have a couple of these in our ministers’ cluster group and they do great work in an often challenging environment. You can pray for them using these prayer points.
The Catholic Community of “Our Lady of Walsingham” is hosting an ‘Open Gardens’ at the House of the Divine Will on Neatherd Moor on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th June from 3.30pm to 6.30pm. Please click here for full details. I went to one of these a couple of years ago and they do wonderful scones! 🙂
Finally, don’t forget our prayer topics further down this email – thank you to all of you who are joining us in prayer.
“It is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work. Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the works themselves. Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.” Jesus in John 14:10b-12
