It seems like a long time since I last wrote to you all…but in reality it’s only been about 10 days. In that time, Gideon (our youngest) has got married and we’ve had a few days away in the Cotswolds. While there, we spent some time at a couple of nature reserves, one of which had a beautiful array of wild flowers and plants. In turn, these attracted quit a variety of bugs, which I like to photograph.
This inspired me to do today’s talk, which is based on some verses from Isaiah 40 about our fragility and weak faith…yet this contrasts with God’s mighty power and intimate closeness with us. You can find it by CLICKING HERE.
Nigel and Elaine are currently away so please do pray for them to be rested and refreshed during this time.
As you are aware by now, each week we focus on a different Baptist Church to pray for with information provided by the Eastern Baptist Association. This week it’s Blackmore in Essex. Please CLICK HERE.
25 ‘To whom will you compare me?
Or who is my equal?’ says the Holy One.
26 Lift up your eyes and look to the heavens:
who created all these?
He who brings out the starry host one by one
and calls forth each of them by name.
Because of his great power and mighty strength,
not one of them is missing. (Isaiah 40:25-26)
Our God, the One who names the stars (that’s a lot of names), knows each hair on your head, each thought in your mind and the desires of your heart.
May you know the depth of his love for you in an increased measure today,
