Have mercy on me, my God, have mercy on me, for in you I take refuge.
I will take refuge in the shadow of your wings until the disaster has passed. Psalm 57:1
I couldn’t resist sharing one more Rob Parsons video with you today. It was his final thought of the day from last week on the Spring Harvest YouTube channel, and after I was blessed by it yesterday, I just felt it was right to share it with you all today. It is based around the above verse from Psalm 57 and I found it really helpful. You can watch it by clicking here, and I pray that God uses it to reassure you and restore you.
Please continue to pray for the leadership as we listen to God and try to discern the right way forward from where we find ourselves. And please also continue to keep your ear open to God, and do share with us anything he says which you think might be for DBC. Don’t hold back, because even if you’re not sure, it may well fit in with other things God is saying and bring clarity as to his plans and purposes for us.
David closes Psalm 57 with these words: I will praise you, Lord, among the nations;
I will sing of you among the peoples.
For great is your love, reaching to the heavens;
your faithfulness reaches to the skies.
Be exalted, O God, above the heavens;
let your glory be over all the earth.
