At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another. But when the kindness and love of God our Saviour appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy.
A couple of days ago, Dave shared a video from one of my favourite speakers, Rob Parsons. He’s a wonderful communicator, and he’s also a lovely man – he was a great support to Elaine and me during a difficult time in our ministry. He has been sharing throughout this week on the Spring Harvest channel and his message on Thursday was all about kindness. I found it so helpful, and felt it would be great to share it with you today. It fits in very well with our series looking at different aspects of sharing the Good News, because our kindness displays God’s kindness. You can access his message by clicking here.
Also, I just wanted to share this video highlighting the New Wine conference, which is happening online from the 30th of July. Look out for further information and the timetable of events in this week’s Notice Sheet, which you can access by clicking here. Thanks as always to Julie for all her hard work putting this together.
Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
