Jesus declared, ‘I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty. All those the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away. For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me. And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all those he has given me, but raise them up at the last day. For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.’
John 6:35 & 37-40
As we look around at all that is going on in the world at the moment, it is easy for us to feel disheartened and discouraged. Perhaps in a variety of ways you feel hungry and thirsty for much that has been lost. I want to encourage you today to come again to the bread of life. You are safe and secure in him. He will never drive you away and he will never let go of you. Turn your eyes to the Son. Listen to him through his word and cry out to him in prayer. He loves you and has not forgotten you. Everything you need is found in him.

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
