Good morning lovely friends,
As you read this Derek and I will be on our way to the very limited funeral of my Mum’s sister – I don’t say “aunt” (although of course she was) because she was more of a friend, and I will miss her very much.
Thinking of her, and reading though the book of Acts both in my private Bible readings and as a church with Nigel & Dave, I have been reminded again of how important relationships are and in this time of even semi-lockdown, how important it is to keep in touch with each other.
I have been frequently moved by the way you have all looked after each other whilst in lockdown and I think it has brought us closer as a church.
So I think it is appropriate now to put my “office administrator”‘s hat on and tell you about the exciting ways you can keep in touch with each other using our new church software – Churchsuite and the member facing part called ‘My Churchsuite’.
Please CLICK HERE for the video of me explaining a bit about it.
In the video I mention having 186 people on the database – this is incorrect as I counted the people we send prayer chain emails to through Churchsuite – the number is nearer 300 and over 300 if you count the Saturday Evening congregation with whom we hope to have closer links in the future.
Not all who read this email are part of our congregation and prefer to receive the emails to enjoy the messages from Nigel and Dave, so you may not receive the ‘My Churchsuite’ invitation.
However, if you would like to join our congregation, and don’t get an invitation in the next few days, please email me on email@example.com.
I was thinking of my favourite Bible character the other day and I think it has to be Barnabas. He was such an encourager and peacemaker (although not afraid to speak out if he disagreed!) and he just walked in the way of the Lord. I have people in my life like that and I am truly grateful for them.
