I have begun to more seriously engage with the idea of what church might look like when lock-down restrictions are eased enough for us to gather together again. They are likely to be smaller gatherings initially (but actually I have no idea). So, how can we be ready for that, ready for the unknown?
Isaiah 51:1 reads: Listen to me, you who pursue righteousness and who seek the Lord: look to the rock from which you were cut and to the quarry from which you were hewn.
For me, readiness comes from looking to Jesus, the living Rock. Today’s message talks about this a bit as I share some reflections on what this means for us to have God as our rock and what this looks like in Christ and through us. This message can be found by CLICKING HERE
Nigel and Elaine are away at the moment so do hold them in your prayers that they will be well rested during their time. With that in mind, please do continue to pray for our nation, leaders, communities church etc each day – thank you. If you have any thoughts from God, Bible verses or anything which you consider that could speak into our thinking about emerging from lock-down then please do email it in for us to continue to piece together what God is saying to us.
Isaiah 52:7 How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, ‘Your God reigns!’
May you be mightily blessed this day,
